ARE YOU PROMOTING YOUR BUSINESS ON FACEBOOK?
A Facebook profile is for personal and non-Commercial use only. It represents individuals and must be held under an individual name. On the other hand Facebook has established a platform for businesses. This is called a fan-page or business page and it is used for professional or official use and allows an organization, business, celebrity or band to maintain a presence of Facebook. Most people don’t know that it is actually a violation against Facebook rules to use a personal profile to market their business. Besides advertising any business on your personal profile, this is considered networking marketing gone bad. For one, it is considered spamming if done more than once. Your friends and family are not really interested in buying from or joining your business. That’s if it’s not correctly presented! Besides that, Facebook has made it incredibly easy for companies to advertise their business, yet in a very personal way. This particular social platform not only allows you to generate leads and traffic to your websites, but gives you the ultimate opportunity to communicate regularly with your customers to provide value and loyalty, more importantly for your business get paying customers.
SN- There is no cost to be on Facebook/ #WOW
People (your target audience and current customers) tend to tune out traditional media, such as TV ads and magazine ads. But when they are on Facebook, they want to engage to what their friends are doing as well as the pages they have liked. They share links, photos and videos and you can engage with them by answering any questions they have, or showing your appreciation for participating on your page.
With Facebook fan pages you have access to millions of daily users. Your promotional messaging is integrated right into your fans’ news-feeds, alongside updates from their friends. Facebook gives marketers and business owners a powerful tool called “Insights” that allows you to see (on a post level) how your customers and prospects react and engage with your content. Facebook business pages are indexed outside of Facebook. So if someone performs an online search for your company, your fan-page will be one more link that will come up. You can manage your page from your Android device. The option of “Adding Apps” that can increase value and a better experience for your followers. Create events, discussion boards (like facebook groups,) create social advertising meaning to pay money to have your fan-page appear in ads targeted to your selected demographic. But that is if you really want to maximize your presence on Facebook. There are many many other benefits as well but I wanted to share with those who don’t know the difference of their personal profile and fan-page.
