Successful people rely on goals to keep them on track with there ambitions. So setting goals as I talked about in Your roadmap Through Life is key, to success. Unfortunately, the act of goal setting by itself does not guarantee success.  We can easily say we want this or I want to that in 5 years , write it out and pin it up on the refrigerator.  But what are you doing to make it a reality? How determined are you for Success? How committed are you for success?

Are We There Yet?

Each day we have to take small steps to get closer and closer to the destination we have on our Map. Taking these small steps is being able to get yourself in a HABIT of planning and setting objectives that will lead to a specific achievement or goal. Take each short term goal on your list and write out all the objectives that have to take place to accomplish it.

EX: If your looking to lose 20 pounds by your birthday in 6 months, how do you plan to do it? You would need to plan what your going to eat for each meal, perhaps an exercise routine and even read or listen to something daily on weight lose to keep you motivated and on track. Doing these things daily and making it a HABIT you will see yourself reach your goal.

Be sure not to only analyze the short term goals, All of your goals would need this same attention. You would have to put systems in place in order to effectively tackle each of the objections.

There are a number of elements, tactics, and tricks to building a list. I’ll touch on the surface to get you going. It all boils down to marketing, and needing to get traffic to your site (opt-in box) or squeeze page.

As I mentioned in my article, Where is the money in Internet Marketing? You would need to have an email marketing service.  For me I use Aweber. How do you get traffic?

Give to Get- You offer something of value in exchange for an email address.  A  subscription of some sort, a free ebook, free video course or something relating to your product.

Network- get involved with other bloggers, forums and groups that corresponds with your niche. Particularly places where you can respond to and provide links back to your blog. (comment luv is a plugin that offers this)

Social Networking- This is huge here, twitter, linked in, facebook, and more, again go and find the groups where like minded niches are being offered and plugin, leaving valuable comments that will link back to you.

Advertising- This is an very effective way of building a list. A good strategic marketing campaign could drive people to your squeeze page in droves. You got:

1. Banner Advertising
2. Ezine Solo Ads
3. Google Ad words
4. Face book ads

And the list goes on and on. Test what works for you, you don’t want to try and do everything all at once. Choose 3 or 4 methods maybe 2 free and 2 paying. It may take a little time to build a following. There are Viral techniques out there as well but if your just starting out, learn the trick of the trade. You can always appreciate something much much more when you have put your blood, sweat and tears in.
